Hole 1
Black 386 Gold 355 Silver 323 Bronze 290 Par 4. Handicap 11
This short, downhill par 4 offers one of the best views on the course. Take a club that will put you around 100-125 yards out from the green and aim at the red stake. There is much more room to miss left than people think, while the trees to the right will almost always lead to at least a bogey. The small circular green slopes towards the water.
Hole 2

Short to mid iron par 3 through a line of trees. Add a half club to the yardage for the uphill approach and trust the yardage as sometimes the pin can appear further away than it really is. The slope to the right of the green will provide wayward shots a friendly kick towards the green.
Hole 3

Accuracy is paramount off the tee on this par 4 that is straight away and flat off the tee, then uphill for the approach. Favor the left side with your tee shot to avoid the large grove of trees right. Be mindful of the pin position on the approach as this is one of the longest greens on the course with a tier in the back third of it.

Our signature Water Tower hole. Longest hole on the course, stay left off the tee to avoid the out-of-bounds that runs the entire length of this plateaued par 5. After a proper tee shot the golfer is faced with a classic risk/reward decision as whether to go for this green in two. O.B. right and trouble left present a formidable task for those willing to try. The proper play would be to give yourself a great wedge yardage to attack this fairly flat green with your third shot. Most putts on this green break towards the Kibbie Dome.

A fun downhill par 3 that challenges the golfer to not only pick the correct club for the yardage, but also execute the shot to avoid a grass bunker on the left, and two bunkers on the right. Be mindful of the wind off the tee. This green has a little more bite to it than meets the eye. The hill on the left side creates more break than most golfers will see.
Hole 6

The first of back-to back par 5s both of which provide great scoring opportunities. #6 slopes hard right to left so any tee shots will usually find the flatter left side of the fairway by the time they stop rolling. An uphill approach forces the golfer to take more club from the fairway, and to avoid the bunker guarding the front left and right of this green. The green slopes from back to front so stay short of the hole for the best chance to make your putt
Hole 7
Black 491 Gold 478 Silver 459 Bronze 395 Par 5. Handicap 3
Another scenic tee shot looking back at the university landscape. Downhill should provide a little extra distance off the tee. A pond guards the front of this green and forces the golfer to lay up to 100 yards or further for their third shot, or challenge carrying the water to the green on a longer 2nd shot. This large green slopes towards the water however gives the golfer a great scoring chance.
Hole 8
Black 375 Gold 334 Silver 327 Bronze 3280 Par 4. Handicap 7
A short dog-leg left par 4, #8 challenges to golfer to hit a straight tee shot to the appropriate yardage, then provides another uphill approach to the 2 tiered green with a fall off long and right. Many golfers expecting to leave this hole with a birdie end up with a 5 or worse. Cutting the corner on this hole is foolish as trees and O.B. looms. Don’t overlook this one after the score-able par 5s.
Hole 9
Black 293 Gold 276 Silver 258 Bronze 225 Par 4. Handicap 13
Uphill all the way back to the club house some longer hitters may come close to this green with a well struck tee shot. Those that cannot are best served hitting to the bottom of the steep hill short of the green and pitching up to the green from there. Be mindful of the pin placement as back pins require golfers to putt or pitch up a steep tier.
Hole 10
Black 375 Gold 302 Silver 293 Bronze 276 Par 4. Handicap 18
Slightly downhill narrowed par 4 begins the much tighter nine at UIGC. Any tee shots down the left side will kick off the side hill toward the fairway. This is definitely a good hole to get your back nine going
Hole 11
Black 406 Gold 391 Silver 375 Bronze 280 Par 4. Handicap 10
Tee your ball up on the right side to give yourself the best angle off the tee. The two pines behind and to the left of the green are a good target, but beware of hitting it too far here, any shots working right will bound into the trees and leave a tough 2nd. From the fairway this hole requires a properly struck approach into a green slopped hard from left to right. This is no doubt one of the toughest par 4s on the course.
Hole 12
Black 400 Gold 377 Silver 353 Bronze 302 Par 4. Handicap 14
Another great view of the wheat fields on the Palouse awaits golfers atop the tee box of this downhill par 4. A wide fairway allows the golfers to hit their straightest club into position for a short iron approach. Be mindful of the overhanging trees left of this shaded green. Another scoring opportunity awaits here.
Hole 13
Black 504 Gold 484 Silver 465 Bronze 405 Par 5. Handicap 2
A great risk/reward tee shot on this sharp dogleg left par 5 allows the player to hit tee shots to the 250, 200, 150, and sometimes even the 100 yard marker depending on how much of the dogleg you can chew off. Pick your path carefully and be sure to play a cut if you become unsure. The layup should stay short of the trees on both the right and left of the fairway. This green is flat and putts can be made.
Hole 14
Black 227 Gold 202 Silver 192 Bronze 135 Par 3. Handicap 8
Perhaps the most challenging hole on the course #14 is a long par 3 that punishes any misguided tee shots. Short is the best miss but both right and left of this sloped green create very difficult up and downs to save par. Three is a great score on this hole.
Hole 15
Black 351 Gold 295 Silver 281 Bronze 262 Par 4. Handicap 16
Another drivable par 4, #15 is a narrow dogleg right surrounded by trees waiting to gobble up errant tee shots. The smart play is a safe tee shot to the widest part of the fairway at about 100 yards from the green, and a wedge shot to this small flatter green. Beware the bunker guarding the right side of the green as the face is rather deep.
Hole 16
Black 383 Gold 365 Silver 349 Bronze 295 Par 4. Handicap 12
The last 3 holes at UIGC are aptly named “Heartbreak Ridge,” and for good reason. #16 starts it off with a drop off to the right of a fairway that narrows the closer to get to the green. Caution is smart here with a shot to the 150 yard stakes off the tee and an approach up the hill to a plateaued green that falls off on every direction.
Hole 17

Another precise long iron is required on the uphill par 3. With O.B. right and a steep slope down into #16 left, any offline tee shots make par a very difficult achievement. A large very flat putting surface does help with up and downs and longer putts however.
Hole 18

This great finishing hole has a double fairway which allows players to aim left and have balls that miss to the right of the upper fairway bounce down into the lower fairway on the right hand side. However, beware of the out of bounds that lurks just right of the lower fairway. The approach to this green guarded by bunkers is slightly uphill and a par finish here will hopefully conclude a magical round at UIGC!
