Michael Wagner Named Op 36 Top 50 Coach
The Vandal Golf Course is proud to announce that Head Pro Michael Wagner is one of Op 36’s Top 50 Coaches. The process for selecting the Top 50 Operation 36 coaches includes the number of new golfers created, the use of formal 9-hole events throughout the year, the application of the Operation 36 curriculum, assessing the golfer’s progress throughout the season and the use of online social tools to encourage more practice and play.
The Operation 36 Top 50 Golf Coach Award is unique in the industry as it is the only one that uses quantitative measures to determine who is making the biggest impact on golf through their program.
Play 9 Holes with Operation 36
- Instead of starting at the full tee box, you will begin in Division 1. This means you will play 9 holes starting 25 yards from each green.
- Your challenge is to shoot 36! If you shoot par (36) or better, you will progress to Division 2, and start 50 yards from each green your next round.
- Track progress & complete as many Divisions as possible! All progress is tracked in the Operation 36 Mobile App. This challenge continues until the golfer can shoot par (36) from all 10 divisions.

Train, Play, and Track Your Progress
- The Play feature allows you to use the GPS to find your Op 36 Division Tee-Box and digitally track your stats.

- Every golf action you log earns points for your community and helps climb the Monthly Global Challenge Leaderboard to keep you motivated.

Registration options available for University of Idaho Students, Women, Co-Ed Adults, Seniors, Juniors 14 & Up, and Juniors 13 & Under at Operation 36 Golf.
Our uniquely challenging course offers a variety of shots, from uneven lies to elevated and recessed greens. The front nine provides scoring opportunities, featuring three par-5s in an open grassland venue. The back nine tightens up into a narrow parkland theme, including two difficult par-3s. The round concludes by running a gauntlet of three challenging holes known by locals as “Heartbreak Ridge.”
